What's different between contacts and users?

A contact in terms of WebAsyst means a collection of data relating to a person: name, email address, home address, telephone number, photo etc. Contacts can be sent emails or SMS messages and are managed using WebAsyst Contacts. You can think of this application as a telephone address book accessible from anywhere in the world where you can connect to the Internet.

An account user is a record in the WebAsyst database which contains a login name, a password and access rights parameters. User's details must be used to log in to the account and work with WebAsyst web applications. All information about users is accessible in account section "Users".

Apart from the ability to access WebAsyst applications, each user also has all attributes of an ordinary contact for convenience: name, email address, telephone number etc. For this reason all account users have their respective contact-related data stored in WebAsyst Contacts, too.
