To speed up the process of adding contacts to your WebAsyst Contacts database, it is recommended to use the contacts importing feature. To perform an import, contacts must be first saved in a CSV file. Such files can be comfortably edited by means of such office tools as OpenOffice/LibreOffice or Microsoft Excel.
Each "column" of such file should contain only data of certain type for each contact (e.g., only first name or only email address). When the table has been filled in, save it in the CSV format. A comma or tab character should be selected as the data separator.
Note: The CSV file encoding must be Unicode (UTF-8) or Windows-1251, otherwise it may be imported incorrectly!
To import the CSV file, select menu item "Add a new contact -> Import contacts" and upload the file as described in the user manual.
