Contact details editable by subscribers

In addition to the ability of submitting personal details using a sign-up form on your website, you may also allow your subscribers to edit their details at any time. To do so, set up the sign-up form to send an automatic confirmation message with a special link to the email address specified by the subscriber, as described below.

  1. Click the name of the form in the list on the left, under the "Forms" caption.
  2. In the form preview area on the right, click the "Customize" link.
  3. Open the "After sign-up" tab and enable the "Send email to subscriber" option.
  4. Ensure that the text of the message in the area below contains the variable which adds the confirmation link: {CONFIRM_SUBSCRIPTION_URL}. If there is no such variable in the text, use the "Insert a confirmation link into this message" link to add it.

After submitting his/her details through the sign-up form, a subscriber will receive a notification with a confirmation link via email. Clicking that link will open the subscriber's personal account page in a browser where the subscriber can edit his/her details:

Tip: The subscription management page is also available to recipients of email messages sent using the WebAsyst Mail application (provided that such messages contain an appropriate link) and to senders of support requests processed using WebAsyst Help Desk.
